The Aude departmental council is the deliberative assembly of the French department of Aude, a decentralized territorial authority. Its headquarters are in Carcassonne.
Aude is a French department in the Occitanie region, which is located in the South of France. Its prefecture is Carcassonne, a fortified medieval city of 47,000 inhabitants, but its largest city is Narbonne which has 55,000 inhabitants.
