Rillieux-la-Pape is part of the Lyon Metropolitan Area (69), with a population of almost 30,000 and 600 employees. One of the town hall's missions is to support its teams in adopting new working methods to improve efficiency and the quality of service provided to citizens.
The town council had set itself the priority of reducing the number of documents exchanged by email, and optimizing the management of information sharing and collaboration between departments, by implementing a new EDM tool. The IT Department was therefore tasked with finding a new software solution.
The municipality's main objective was to make documents, both internal and external, more reliable and traceable, and to eliminate the existing file server. Documents were mainly exchanged by email, leading to versioning and duplication problems.
The town council also needed a solution that would enable the same document to be stored in multiple locations, so that different departments could collaborate more easily using the same version of the document, with advanced search functionality.
The GoFAST solution was chosen for this project thanks to its ergonomics, functionalities and hosting, as well as its use of open source technologies, all of which are in line with the government's digitalization plan. Today, more than 75 interdepartmental workgroups use it on a daily basis.
